Ballsystem, participating as an event partner, will be represented by Emanuele Mottola, Marketing Manager, and Mario Giagnoni, Head of OEMs & Compounds.
This prestigious international event will offer the opportunity to hear first-hand about the changes, new scenarios and strategies in the automotive sector, which continues to evolve towards an increasingly green and sustainable future.

Sustainability is undoubtedly a pillar of Ballsystem’s DNA, and the company will continue along this path with future initiatives aimed at strengthening this important approach, which has become decisive on a market increasingly oriented towards social responsibility.

ECG, the European Vehicle Logistics Association, has been the voice of the finished vehicle logistics industry in Europe since 1997, representing the interests of more than 130 member companies and partners, ranging from family-run SMEs to multinationals, and is the leading advocate for the European vehicle logistics sector. The ECG represents all modes of transport at the EU level: road, rail, sea and river. ECG members provide transport, distribution, storage, preparation and post-production services to manufacturers, importers, car rental companies and vehicle leasing operators throughout the European Union, as well as in Norway, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Turkey, Russia, Ukraine and beyond. They own or operate more than 380 car carriers, 14,900 purpose-built rail wagons, 28 river barges and over 27,000 lorries. Finished vehicle logistics refers to all activities that take place after a new vehicle leaves the factory until it reaches the customer.

The main activities involved in this process include storage, post-production modifications and/or pre-delivery inspections, and delivery of the vehicle to the dealer. Finished vehicle logistics is a highly specialised sector of the transport industry, characterised by meticulous and dedicated storage facilities, workshops and transport systems. Experienced drivers are also required to ensure smooth delivery without damage to the product. ECG members represent 80-85% of the finished vehicle logistics sector in Europe. ECG also has numerous partner organisations that supply the sector, including trailer manufacturers, IT companies and inspection companies. As a major employer, the finished vehicle logistics sector plays an important role in contributing to the economic success of the European Union. ECG members have an aggregate turnover of approximately € 23 billion, and their economic impact on companies associated with the sector is estimated at € 60 billion. More than 145,000 Europeans are directly employed in the vehicle logistics industry, with a further 300,000 indirectly employed in the sector.

Led by Flavio Iavarone, a long-standing PDR training instructor at Ballsystem, technicians attending their first week of the course were able to learn the art of Paintless Dent Repair on site through the use of technical equipment and a combination of theory, classroom sessions and hands-on practice.

Briefings at the end of each day allowed participants to discuss and share critical issues, opinions and personal experiences, giving them the opportunity to immerse themselves fully in the BS world and observe real repairs as part of the daily routine.

“Our ambition is to leave participants with an experience that will remain in their hearts and minds, an opportunity to interact with other professionals in the sector and embark on a professional journey that is complex and demanding, yet driven by great passion. We organise these courses with the firm intention of not interrupting our daily routine, because it is essential that the training is effective, carried out in the field and immersed in the essence of what we do. I am extremely satisfied, as I have spoken with the participants and have seen their potential and their desire to grow in PDR, a complex and fascinating technique in which manual skills play a fundamental role and truly put you to the test.”

These were the words of Carlo Mottola, Head of the Ballsystem Academy, who opened and closed this intense week of training

Congratulations to all our GreenPartners! See you at the next edition.

A photo reportage of the week is also available on all Ballsystem social media platforms and on the group’s website www.ballsystemgroup.it

Three days of discussion, meetings and exchange at Automotive Dealer Day 2021, which returned to an in-person format for this edition. As Silver Sponsor of the event, Ballsystem was present with a dedicated stand, where the company’s management welcomed visits from many key players in the sector and BS partners. BALLSYSTEM President Francesco Mottola commented with satisfaction on the return to an in-person event after the long hiatus caused by the public health crisis: “We are very pleased to have taken part in the event as a sponsor, reaffirming Ballsystem’s desire to support the automotive sector and create opportunities for the exchange of ideas.
We are fully aware of the digital development process, which is now irreversible and which we wholeheartedly embrace, but it remains essential to meet in person and capture emotions, opinions and visions for the future.” In the coming days, a video reportage of the event will be released on Ballsystem platforms in collaboration with Studiogusto, which worked behind the scenes to document every moment of BS’s presence at Dealer Day 2021.

Starting today, Ballsystem is expanding its online presence with the launch of its new website www.ballsystem.it, created in collaboration with Studiogusto.

Ballsystem’s new online home has adopted a B2C approach, using clear and direct language to provide information on BS car repair services and BS partner body shops across the country, supported by an interactive map that can be consulted at any time.

Several touchpoints have been created within the website, enabling customers to contact BS directly to book appointments and request information.

Access to the official social media platforms is quick and easy, allowing users to view photo galleries and contact us privately to receive a fast and direct response from our operators.

The website www.ballsystemgroup.it remains active as a reference point for a comprehensive overview of the Ballsystem world and its B2B services.

Emanuele Mottola, BS Marketing Manager, spoke with satisfaction about the new website

We in the Marketing team have sought to make the user experience within the Ballsystem world simpler and more intuitive, particularly with regard to the B2C services the company offers to customers for car repairs.

It represents another step in the company’s future and digital vision, which is increasingly focused on the customer.

It has been a year of highly significant changes, and the new website has certainly been one of our main objectives, which we have heralded as a new online “home”. Like any home, we will strive to live in it fully, understanding how to implement and improve it over time, with our customers themselves helping us to make the best choices.

And the new developments for 2021 don’t end here, as we will soon be introducing an important new project.

We would like to thank Studiogusto for their support, with whom we have already received recognition for the ballsystemgroup.it website, which will continue to tell the full story of Ballsystem.

The website will be live starting Thursday 9 September at www.ballsystem.it

Mario Giagnoni, who has been with Ballsystem S.p.A. for over two years, is leaving his position as Head of Network Development to take on the new role of Head of OEMs and Logistic Service Providers. Giagnoni, 50, has extensive experience in the automotive sector and has worked for automotive groups such as Ford Motor Company, General Motors, DaimlerChrysler, DAF Trucks and Iveco, where he served as CEO for the Polish market. He also has significant experience in the logistics sector, having served for more than four years as General Manager of the Bertani Trasporti Group for Eastern Europe. This new role, within the Sales Department managed by Fabio Marcucci, strengthens Ballsystem’s position in Italy and on the international markets, where the company plans to consolidate its presence in Europe in 2021 and overseas in the years to come.

His previous role will be taken over by Andrea Giovanardi, who will be responsible for the development of the Network and Dealers area as of that same date. “The change is inspired by Ballsystem’s new ‘Customer Centric’ vision, which aims to put customer needs first, even to the point of reshaping its sales organisation in order to listen to and better understand those needs.”
Fabio Marcucci commented: “Mario is a highly respected professional with a brilliant career behind him; we are extremely pleased with this new development within our team, which will give a new and decisive boost to our strategy, enabling us to increasingly meet the needs of manufacturers in Italy and abroad and to develop commercial relationships with all the main LSPs, while Andrea will be able to continue the important work already under way by expanding and consolidating relationships across the entire network.”

Ballsystem has signed a new and significant partnership with a leading player in the automotive supply chain: VetroCar, an industry leader in glass repair and replacement. This synergistic collaboration aims to develop increasingly advanced services for the full satisfaction of their respective customers.

In an exclusive preview interview with CarCarrozzeria, VetroCar CEO Maurizio Acri commented: “We are very satisfied and pleased with our partnership with Ballsystem. It is a historic company with a wealth of experience, and I have found many similarities with our organisation. Above all, both share a customer-centric vision and a determination to pursue ambitious growth objectives.”

Roberto Sticca, CEO of Ballsystem, also spoke enthusiastically to CarCarrozzeria about the new partnership: “In recent years, VetroCar has demonstrated great professionalism and expertise in interpreting market needs, and the results achieved clearly reflect this. We are very proud to be their partner, particularly in light of the new positioning we want to give to Ballsystem, which aims to strengthen its offering to insurance partners and fleets, a market that VetroCar dominates with outstanding capabilities, also in view of the all-round expansion of all our new auto repair services, Authority, Video inspection, training and other tailor-made solutions designed to help our customers recover cost efficiency and optimise the management of technical downtime.”

With a shared vision, Ballsystem and VetroCar are preparing to face future challenges together, always keeping the human values that define both companies at the heart of their business.
