As part of the consolidation and growth of Ballsystem S.p.A.’s ambitious new project, the company welcomes a leading professional to a management role that is fundamental to the evolution of its services: from 1 February 2021, Fabio Marcucci takes on the role of Sales Manager.

With a CV marked by successful managerial experience, Marcucci joins Ballsystem with the dual objective of strengthening its existing relationships on the one hand and conveying the brand’s values to new customers on the other.

“We are proud to have Fabio on our team,” commented Roberto Sticca, CEO of Ballsystem S.p.A. “His experience and expertise represent a valuable asset for our development. We are confident that his contribution will be fundamental to our company’s new growth project.”

The medium- to long-term strategic expansion plan aims to broaden Ballsystem’s range of services and achieve even greater geographical coverage, both nationally and internationally, positioning the company as one of the leading players in the automotive repair supply chain.

“Ballsystem represents an important turning point in my professional career,” said Fabio Marcucci. “After 9 years with a large multinational company, 6 of which in a managerial role, I decided to embrace this ambitious new business project, which embodies the values essential to promoting excellence and achieving success: passion, vision, innovation, organisation and customer focus. I would like to thank the Mottola family for the trust they have placed in me. I am committed to serving the company with the same passion and dedication as always, and with renewed enthusiasm.”

Best of luck to Fabio, and see you again soon for the latest news!

Ballsystem combines continuous technical research with the experience gained by its professionals to develop a unique tool and processes that are increasingly aligned with the needs of insurance companies.

The inspection booth, developed in collaboration with USI Italia, a leader in paint booths for car bodywork, is equipped with LED lighting on the walls and ceiling and electronically adjustable zebra blinds on all sides, making it a tool that accelerates and ensures flawless detection of damage caused by hail and atmospheric agents, while maximising efficiency in handling large volumes of vehicles.

The inspection booth combines transparency and speed through the digital archiving of documentation for all activities and the elimination of the need for the physical presence of the inspector. This significant investment by the company represents the first step in a series of developments in the vehicle inspection sector, aimed at making it increasingly smart, digital and real-time.

As announced, the year just ended set the wheels of change in motion at Ballsystem, and 2021 is already revealing the first major transformations: Francesco Mottola, the company’s long-standing leader for over 30 years, retains his role as Chairman of Ballsystem S.p.A. and passes the baton of CEO to Roberto Sticca.

With a career marked by numerous successes, including his most recent role as Chief Operating Officer at Alphabet Italia S.p.A. of the BMW Group, Roberto Sticca takes on this position of responsibility at Ballsystem S.p.A., reaffirming its strategic path of growth and the consolidation of operational excellence. In a preview released to Car Carrozzeria, the new CEO commented: “Throughout my professional life, I have had the opportunity to interact and work with many multinational companies in the automotive sector, taking on roles of increasing responsibility and gaining significant experience that has allowed me to encounter different approaches and perspectives, appreciate what works, and reflect on, and learn from, what does not. For some time now, I have wanted to put my experience to good use in an exciting business project, and Ballsystem is exactly what I was looking for.”

With this important addition to the team, Ballsystem S.p.A. promises a significant territorial expansion in Italy and abroad, further developing its range of services and ensuring greater efficiency, competitiveness and transparency, in line with its distinctive customer-centric vision.

“We are delighted to welcome a leading figure such as Roberto: his expertise and cross-functional skills acquired over more than 30 years of experience in the automotive sector, and beyond, will be an additional factor in Ballsystem’s success,” concluded Chairman Francesco Mottola.

After years of collaboration and mutual respect, Ballsystem has formalised its partnership with Bureau Veritas.

Ballsystem has long been committed to building solid relationships with excellent partners across the supply chain. Ongoing collaborations reduce management times and simplify activities by bringing processes into a single, shared workflow designed to meet the rapid needs of market players and end customers.
The partnership with Bureau Veritas, the world leader in inspection, compliance verification and certification, which has developed a portfolio specifically dedicated to the automotive sector, stems from the desire to take this relationship to a new level and further enhance the range of Ballsystem services.

The quality achieved over these years of collaboration with Bureau Veritas is of great value to us,” says Antonello Fiorenza, General Manager of Ballsystem. “And now we are preparing to take our relationship to a new level. Knowing that we can continue to raise the quality of our work is stimulating, and it is essential to take this step with companies that share our corporate vision and are committed to continuous growth. With Bureau Veritas, we feel confident in saying that we are looking towards the same future, one that is certainly brighter for the entire market chain.”

“We are very satisfied with our partnership with a prestigious and competent company such as Ballsystem,” he adds, “and we are confident that together we will raise the bar even higher in terms of quality, providing customers with increasingly high-performance services on a constantly evolving market where we have always been at the forefront in delivering cutting-edge solutions.”

A process of exchanging and sharing skills, technologies, platforms, know-how and logistics consolidates into a common pool of best practices to be applied at every stage of the work activities. Better organisation, faster execution, superior quality and a guarantee that certifies the excellence of a quality service are the fundamental points and outcomes of a partnership that is of clear benefit to both the end customer and the business. The latter can rely on a technical, specialised, qualified, authoritative and solid partner which, combined with the great human machine that is Ballsystem, delivers meticulous and comprehensive service from first contact through to after-sales support.
The shared vision of Ballsystem and Bureau Veritas opens the door to new horizons and a renewed concept of excellence.

Years ago, Ballsystem decided to systematise its knowledge in order to act as a catalyst for real change, to help build a sustainable future and to support those who choose to believe in its human and technical values in embarking on new career pathways.
Through the Ballsystem Academy, the company holds professional training courses to become GreenPartners of excellence in the use of the brand’s patented repair methods and tools.
In recognition of this cross-cutting commitment, Ballsystem SpA has been officially designated as an accredited training agency by the Umbria Region – Organisation Code 7697 – for the design and provision of training activities in accordance with Regional Council Resolution No. 397 of 2 March 2005 (published in BURU No. 11 of 9 March 2005).
By virtue of this accreditation, the company is authorised to carry out the following activities:

Every year, as the heat arrives, we start thinking about the sea, holidays and relaxation, but the summer season often brings more surprises and unexpected events than any other. We have witnessed this in recent days of extremes, when sudden temperature changes and scorching heat caused devastating weather phenomena across Europe: damage from summer hailstorms is virtually impossible to prevent, but is easy to resolve if you choose the right team.
Ballsystem was the first company in Italy to perfect and innovate the cold repair technique, launching its revolutionary method in 1997: a bodywork restoration system using a set of levers, punches and pullers developed and patented by the company. The Ballsystem method involves removing hail dents and traffic damage with precise interventions from inside the body panels, without the use of fillers or repainting.

“This type of repair, which is completely manual, allows considerable savings in time and costs, reduces vehicle downtime, and restores the car to its original condition without affecting the manufacturer’s warranty,” explains Antonello Fiorenza, General Manager of Ballsystem SpA. – “It is therefore a fundamental advantage both for body shops using the Ballsystem method and for the end customer, and becomes even more effective in managing damage for large fleets and car parks.”

In fact, the Ballsystem method is the solution chosen by Italy’s and Europe’s largest fleet and car park operators, manufacturers, car rental companies and insurance companies for restoring hail- and accident-damaged vehicles.
“Choosing Ballsystem means relying on a fast and flexible “human and logistical machine”, honed over decades, made up of talented craftsmen trained to work to the highest standards on a large scale, and capable of managing volumes that would overwhelm any competitor,” continues Fiorenza. “The Hail Team, made up of specialised crews, moves quickly across Italy and Europe to repair damage in record time using mobile workshops set up in car parks, all coordinated by a logistics and IT infrastructure that monitors and tracks work progress in real time.”
We asked Antonello Fiorenza what aspects of Ballsystem’s operations make the difference for private individuals. “Before ‘coaching’ was even a known term in Italy, Ballsystem already had a technical training academy, which in 2019 received accreditation as a regional training facility. This institutional recognition fills us with pride and ensures that the Ballsystem training certificate issued to our bodywork technicians is legally valid across Europe. At a time when our sector is focused on expanding networks, Ballsystem has established a well-structured a network of 440 GreenPartners, trained and updated at the Academy every six months. For private individuals, this means they can trust that their car is in the hands of the best cold repair experts available.”
However, we cannot discuss these weather phenomena without considering global warming and environmental responsibility. How does Ballsystem operate in this regard, in a sector that is often not very attentive to the environment, such as car repair?
“Sustainability has always been a core value in the development of our method: we designed it to have zero environmental impact, while many others opted for quick fixes harmful to the ecosystem. We are proud to have created a zero-emission repair process, providing an environmental sustainability assessment with every car we repair. We believe that doing business means acting with transparency, intellectual honesty and an innovation-focused vision, generating value for our employees, partners, customers and the community.”
