Today marked the second (2021) edition of the Car Carrozzeria Summit, held live online on Car Carrozzeria’s social media channels. BallSystem also took part in this edition as a Silver Sponsor, consistently supporting industry initiatives and events that provide opportunities for dialogue and discussion among players in the automotive repair and supply chain sectors.
The event primarily focused on body shops, which had the opportunity to interact live with the speakers in a dynamic exchange of ideas on a wide range of topics, with a strong focus on the future of the automotive and body repair sectors.
The event made an important contribution to shaping trends and perspectives for the sector, addressing highly topical issues such as artificial intelligence, sustainability, machine learning, synthetic DNA, ADAS and electric propulsion.
At 10 a.m., Fabio Marcucci (Sales Manager for BallSystem SpA), together with Marco Mosaici (Director of Aftermarket Networks for Arval Italia) and Salvio Bruognolo (Owner of Auto Bruognolo), explored the topic of the AIRepair approach, highlighting the advantages offered by the BallSystem “Paintless Dent Repair” method (cold repair without the need for repainting).
Fabio Marcucci spoke more broadly about the cold repair method and process integration: “The cold technique is no longer considered an alternative, but rather a method that can be effectively and profitably integrated with other processes, generating value for the customer. Having a thorough understanding of all the available techniques and how they can be combined also significantly improves relationships between the various players in the sector, enhancing performance and making the final outcome of the entire repair process more transparent.”
Marcucci then reiterated the shared objectives and vision with Arval: “In the Arval project, we see values that strengthen synergy among all players in the supply chain, with a forward-looking vision for the development of the market, which we share completely.”
With regard to training, one of the pillars of the BallSystem approach, he noted: “We have been active in training for many years, and our goal has always been to create an integrated system with mutual benefits for us and for those who join our project. We have never entrenched ourselves in fixed positions; on the contrary, we have always felt the need to share our know-how with a network that we have built over time. Our GreenPartner network, the highest level of affiliation, represents body shops that act as outposts of our methodology, thanks to the training provided by our Academy. Training for the purpose of sharing, and sharing to create and develop value for all the parties involved, including the end customer.”
One final word on sustainability: “Every player in the sector is moving towards sustainability in order to limit their environmental impact. BallSystem’s approach naturally maximises the benefits of repair, while seeking to deliver tangible advantages for the environment.”
