A year full of new developments, events, challenges, training, events (online and offline), sharing, recognition, small and big victories, and struggles made even more complex by the public health crisis, which is still ongoing.
BallSystem leaves all this, and much more, behind in this long 2021, a year that proved fundamental in laying the foundations for the 2021-2024 corporate strategy, which will further strengthen the company’s digitalisation, internationalisation and commitment to sustainability in the years ahead.
The year 2021 also brought the expansion of the network (with a current total of nearly 200 BallSystem affiliates across Italy), synergy with major players in the automotive sector, the arrival of key executives for an even stronger and more forward-looking management team, the launch of a new company publication (BS Magazine) and website, and the laying of the foundation stone for the future BallSystem headquarters in Perugia, as well as a new portal and digital mechanisms to improve the internal and external processes.
“Current events present us with new and increasingly complex challenges and, as I wrote to my colleagues quoting a well-known expression, change does not always mean improvement, but we must change in order to improve. By this I meant to say that we must all step outside of our comfort zones, our routines, our consolidated beliefs and our established processes. We must change the lens through which we see the world, and gain a new perspective of our work, the environment and the business itself, areas that present challenges we can no longer overcome alone or tackle individually. What will never change is the importance of having a vision, but today more than ever we need to be able to rely on a great team that thinks collectively rather than individually. I wish everyone a happy new year, with the dual hope that we will soon overcome the public health crisis and succeed in making a difference in our own lives and in the lives of others.”
These were the words of BallSystem President and Founder Francesco Mottola, followed by the thoughts and best wishes of BallSystem Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer Carlo Mottola:
“For the new year, my hope is that BallSystem will never lose its identity, constantly renewing itself while remaining faithful to its origins as a company built on familiar relationships, which, within the context of our work, translate into craftsmanship, transparency and excellence. May it have the same resilience it demonstrated throughout 2021, when BallSystem stood firm amid changes and new developments, and an automotive market in turmoil, facing difficulties caused by the public health crisis. Overcoming years of such complexity is what makes you proud to be part of a great family like ours, and our deepest thanks go out to our technicians, all our office staff, the body shops in our network, without whom nothing would be possible, and of course our partners. I wish everyone a 2022 full of great joys and compelling challenges to be tackled once again together!
